Need tail shaft housing for 1982 auto w/lockup converter.
Looking for tail shaft housing for 1982 3 sp auto. Noticed leak...dis-assembled...found large crack with bit missing. Anyone know if others interchange? Also need wiring harness from cowl back. Pick-n-pull got real nasty when I tried to purchase a tail shaft only. Thanks..

The 1981-82 extension housings are the same, gas & diesel. 1983-84's are different, though.
1981-82:

Notice how much longer the '81-82 extension housing is? When the OD section was added in '83, they shrunk the extension housing to make it all fit in approximately the same overall transmission length.
I have three of the later ones, but no early ones.
