The Following Items was installed: SCANSCSI.INF to the directory C:\Windows\Inf Removing the Old Scanner Entry From the Device Manager: a) Click on Start and select Settings. b) Under Settings, select Control Panels. c) In the Control Panels window, double click on the System icon. d) In the System window, click on the Device Manager tab. f) Scroll down the list of devices until you see the Other Devices section. g) Click on the plus sign (+) in front of the Other Devices icon and another item will drop down called SCANNER. h) Click the item called SCANNER once to highlight it, then click on the button called Remove. Windows will ask you to confirm that you are removing this device, click Yes. i) After Windows finishes removing the SCANNER, close the Device Manager window and return to the Control Panels window. Close the Control Panels window and proceed to: Installing the New Scanner Entry a) It is necessary to reboot the computer so that Windows can detect the scanner. Before restarting, make sure that the scanner is connected and powered on. b) Click on Start and choose Shutdown. Click the radio button next to "Restart the Computer" and click Yes. c) When Windows restarts, it will find the scanner and add the scanner to the Device Manager as a SCSI Scanner.
