BIOS Image CD Upgrade Creates a BIOS image CD that can be used to locally restore or update the system BIOS in F10 setup or during Flash Disaster Recovery. The image file is named XXX_MMmm.iso where XXX is the abbreviated BIOS family, MM is the major version number, and mm is the minor version number. This feature requires that a system is available with CD burning software and a compatible CD-R/RW drive installed. HOW TO USE: 1. Obtain a blank CD and place it in the CD-R/RW drive. 2. Execute XXX_MMmm.iso. This will launch the CD burning software. 3. To make the BIOS image CD, follow instructions provided by the application. 4. Place the newly created BIOS image CD in the CD drive of the computer to be updated. 5. If updating BIOS through F10 setup, enter F10 during system POST and select Flash System ROM from the file menu. If the sytem is booting in BootBlock Emergency Recovery Mode, simply allow the system to boot. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the System BIOS and update the firmware.
